2023 U16 Regional Netball Academy
Suitable for youth netballers, aged 13 – 16 (born between 2007 and 2010), who want to develop their skills further and take the next step in their netball pathway, the Hong Kong Netball U16’s Regional Academy is coached by Director of Coaching, Mr. Grahame Johnston, and Netball Hong Kong, China (NHKC)-qualified assistant coaches. It is the best opportunity for players to train alongside other elite netballers in this age group in Hong Kong. NHKC uses this Academy Programme as a platform for talent identification purpose for the National Youth Squads.
This year, a touring team will be selected from the two squads to participate in the International Youth Challenge hosted by Singapore Sports School in November. Please note that this year, the organiser has changed the age requirement to be 15 or under (born in 2008 or later). All players will train at one of the regional venues in the program’s squad stages, once they achieve selection for the 2023 Touring Team, they will need to train twice a week in preparation for the Tournament.
