We also extend a warm invitation to secondary or university netballers who have prior experience playing netball during their school years and are eager to transition into a coaching role. \nThis exceptional program is made possible through the generous funding provided by the Jockey Club Coach Education Programme. \nDate: May 19\, 2024 (9am to 6pm) \nVenue: Hong Kong Cricket Club \nMedium of instruction: English \nFee: HK$400 includes lunch \nApplication Deadline: 3 May 2024 Friday 6pm  (or when the course is FULL.) \nEligibility\n\nParticipants must fully complete and attend all theory\, practical\, and assessment sessions as outlined\, unless they receive prior approval and exemption from the facilitator based on their prior knowledge. Failure to attend the scheduled course dates will result in an unsuccessful course completion. Additionally\, successful participants are required to pass the practical assessment.\nPrior to the course commencement\, participants are required to complete the online Foundation Coaching Course by Netball Australia. The course fee of $70AUD is to be paid directly to Netball Australia.\nParticipants must possess a minimum of 2 years’ netball playing experience\, either at school or club level.\nParticipants must demonstrate a solid understanding of netball rules.\nThe recommended minimum age for participation is 16 years or above. All equipment will be cleaned after every session. \n10. No personal sanitizing products will be provided by Netball Hong Kong\, China. Participants should prepare by themselves if needed. \n11. Should there be the closure of the venue for netball\, that session will be cancelled and no make-up class will be provided. \n12. Should there be the No. 8 or above Typhoon Signal or Red / Black Rainstorm warning be hoisted 2 hours prior to the start\, that session will be cancelled and no make-up class will be provided. \n13. NHKC has the right to conduct comprehensive random checks in the application form to verify the eligibility of applying participants. DESCRIPTION:The Regional Netball Academy (RNA) is suitable for netballers who want to further develop their skills and take the next step in their netball pathway.  The training sessions will be run by qualified & experienced coaches. Preference will be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following\, \n• are available and commit to umpiring Junior League (JNL) games to move along the NHKC Umpiring Pathway• have attended Introduction to Umpiring and Rules Discussion (Pre-Level 1) + umpired team trainings• are a member of a team/club that has no or few applicants for a course• are on the waiting list from a previous Introductory Umpires Accreditation Level 1 Umpires Course \nSuccessful applicants will be contacted after the registration deadline with the course fee payment process. Unsuccessful applicants will remain on the waiting list for future courses. \n\n\n\n\n\n \nNHKC Umpiring Pathway\n\n1. Level 1 – Theory Workshop \n2. Netball Australia’s Online “Rules of Netball Theory Exam” (Passing Mark:70%) (Exam Fee: AUD12.50) \n3. Level 1 – Practical Session \n4. Umpire Junior League games (JNL). Start with U12/U14 with Support\, when the Umpire Supporter deems you skilled enough you will move up to higher age groups (U14 > U16 > U 19) with or without Support until you are able to do U19 unsupported. You will then progress to the Ladies League with an Umpire Supporter for you first match. \n5. HKNBL – Ladies League starts at Division 6\, you will be listed as an Approved Umpire \n6. When your skill has improved you can request Support and move up to a higher division as an Approved Umpire until you are Division 2/3 Approved\, you may then go for your C Badge umpiring award \n7.
