Netball Coaching Opportunities: Assistant Coaches to NHKC Elite Programs

Exceptional experience to build your coaching portfolio, working alongside international-level head coach and best netball players in Hong Kong, as well as gaining international tournament experience!

NHKC is currently seeking experienced and passionate assistant coaches to our elite programs, including the national men’s and ladies’ open teams, and the U16 Regional Academy programmes. As an assistant coach, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing training programs, providing technical and tactical guidance, and supporting the head coach, Mr. Grahame Johnston, in all aspects of team management.

The ideal candidates will have:

• Extensive coaching experience at local level, preferably some national or international level for national men’s and ladies’ teams assistant coach
• Excellent knowledge of netball rules and regulations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a coaching team
• A passion for developing athletes and achieving team success

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the head coach in all aspects of team management
• Developing and implementing training programs
• Providing technical and tactical guidance to athletes
• Assist in analyzing game footage and providing feedback
• Attending all training sessions and competitions
• Work with the team manager and primary care and other team officials

Training schedule of the programmes:

• Ladies Open: 1-2 training sessions per week (usually Monday and Friday evening) from Jul – Dec 2023, tournament date TBC
• Men’s Open: 1-2 training sessions per week (usually Thursday and Saturday evening) from Jul – Nov, tournament from 2 – 10 Dec 2023
• U16 Regional Academy: Island Squad and Kowloon Squad, 2 assistant coaches for each squad, programme schedule here.
