2022-23 U16 Regional Netball Academy
The Regional U16 ‘s Netball Academy is suitable for netballers who want to further develop their skills and take the next step in their netball pathway. The purpose of the Programme is to build up and develop potential players for succession in the Elite pathway. The squads will be coached by HKNA coaches and you will also have the chance of training alongside the best netballers in HK for this age group. HKNA use the Academy program as a platform for identify potential athletes for the National Youth Squads.
The impact of Covid-19 has significantly affected the systemic developmental pathway of HK junior netballers. In order to provide a more holistic training environment for U14s and U16s players, the RNA has been restructured this year. Please note that BOTH U14s and U16s squads will have systemic training from February to April. The U14 will train in Shun Lee Tsuen Sports Centre on Saturday morning and the U16 will train in Hong Kong Park Sports Centre on Wednesday night.
Please note that this program is for participants who were not part of the 2022 U14 and U16 Academy Squads. This is part of the HKNA’s Academy re-building phase to ensure more participants have the opportunity to receive training from HKNA-appointed coaches.
Deadline of Registration: 20 January 2023 (FRI) – 6PM
Eligibility: Participants must be 15-16 years old (born in 2007 to 2008)
