HK NETBALL COACHING ACCREDITATION PATHWAY

With the approval from Netball Australia, Hong Kong Netball follows the Netball Australia’s Coach Education Framework which supports the development of coaches from beginner or club level through to national level.  

HK Netball has a three-tier accreditation pathway an coaches are able to progress along the pathway depending on their personal aspirations and ability.

                                 DEVELOPMENT

     FOUNDATIONS

Coaches who have previously attained a Level One Netball Australia accreditation, it is equivalent to the Development Level Accreditation. 

Coaches who have previously attained a Level Two Netball Australia accreditation, it is equivalent to the Advanced Level Accreditation.

 FOUNDATION COURSE: a two day course (2 x 4 hours) for beginner and school/club coaches including Beginning Coaching General Principles combined with the skills of netball.  A reduced course can be presented if the participants have teaching qualifications in Physical Education.

 DEVELOPMENT COURSE: a two day course (2x 4 hours) for club coaches.  A Section 1 Theory Examination Pass is a pre-requisite.

 HK LEVEL TWO COURSE:  (2 x full day course) designed for club and representative coaches.  HK Netball recently developed and ran it's first Level Two course in 2012 with Carol Byers from Netball Australia presenting the course.  HKNA, with Netball Australia 's support, modified and organised a suitable Level Two course that will meet the needs of the coaches in HK.

All of the above courses will require participants to successfully pass a practical coaching assessment to achieve the Accreditation staus.

Please note that successful participants will only be certified with a Hong Kong Netball Coaching Accreditation Certificate.
